GPS at a Glance

Global Population Services (GPS) is a non-profit organization with global outreach, focused on improvement of the life of people and protection of human rights.

GPS was founded in 2001 to work in the areas of rule of law and legal services. Over the years it expanded its work to the broader area of medical services and improvement of the life of the global population. GPS is headquartered in New York, NY, and has European office in Sofia, Bulgaria.

GPS works in partnership with international organizations, local governments (particularly ministries of health) and local non-profit organizations.

GPS is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which means all donations are tax-deductible to the limits of the law. GPS’s tax ID number is 84-2332651.

Ambassador Slavi Pachovski (retired) is the President and CEO of GPS.

Ambassador Pachovski has been Permanent Representative of Bulgaria at the United Nations (1992-1997). He was head of delegations to important international negotiations, including preparing association agreement of Bulgaria with the European Union, the creation of the  Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe, working of the United Nations Development Program in Kenya and Zimbabwe, cultural diversity and education in UNESCO's programs, etc.

He is a Professor of International Law, J.D., Ph.D., and has lectured in universities around the globe. He is Permanent Resident of the United States of America, living there, teaching, investing, networking and running Global Population Services, a non-for-profit organization. 

He is married, with three children and two grandchildren.
